Future Narratives: Creative Theatre for Teaching AI Ethics and Digital Futures
Introduction
Step into the future of education through theatre and imagination. This course empowers educators to explore Artificial Intelligence, ethics, and digital futures using creative drama, storytelling, and critical inquiry—equipping learners to question, reflect, and act in a rapidly evolving technological world.
Description
This course explores the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, ethics, and education through creative theatre and narrative-based pedagogy. Participants engage with key concepts such as algorithmic bias, digital identity, responsibility, and emerging technological futures, while developing critical media literacy and ethical reasoning. Through drama-based methodologies—including improvisation, forum theatre, and process drama—participants co-construct speculative narratives that examine the societal implications of AI. The course emphasises experiential learning, collaboration, and reflective practice, enabling educators to translate complex digital issues into accessible and meaningful classroom experiences. Aligned with Erasmus+ priorities on digital transformation and inclusion, the programme fosters creativity, critical thinking, and active citizenship in the context of rapidly evolving digital environments.

Assessment is continuous and formative, based on participation, peer feedback, reflective journaling, and the development of practical classroom applications and final creative projects.
Materials, Digital Tools & Other Learning Resources
Participants will use a range of creative and digital tools, including storytelling frameworks, drama techniques, and collaborative platforms. Suggested tools include ChatGPT, Padlet, Canva, and fact-checking resources. All materials, templates, and activity guides will be provided in digital format for classroom adaptation.
Preparation
After registration participants will receive pre-course questionnaire which will be used by the trainer to learn about participants’ teaching backgrounds and to assess their exact needs. Participants will also be asked to prepare a presentation about themselves, their professional context and their culture which will be presented during the course. Participants will receive information about the country they are going to visit in order to prepare them for their cultural experience.
Follow up
After the course participants will be asked to share what they have learned with the rest of the staff in their schools. Further books and articles to deepen the topic and contacts with some other practitioners all over Europe and in the world will be suggested by the trainer. The methods shared and explored and the bibliography given will allow the participants to complete and improve their educational path.
